Job Summary

This position will run the Dozer/Compactor maintaining controlled fill to achieve maximum compaction. This position will also perform preventative maintenance of equipment at the Crushing plant and involves the operation of a variety of Heavy Equipment, i.e., Front-end Loaders, Screen Plants.

• Operate various types of heavy equipment used in the crushing & screening of aggregates.
• Drive off-road vehicles and loaders.
• Perform preventative maintenance of all production and off-road equipment.
• Perform emergency maintenance and troubleshooting when necessary such as   welding replacing parts, hoses and filters
• Weld and cut on equipment when necessary.  . 
• Maintain safety in aggregate site and equipment operation
• Attend educational seminars and achieves industry standards.
• Maintain a clean an orderly work area.
• Do clean up around Crushing/Washing and Screening Plant.
• Must adhere to all MSHA and Company safety rules.
• Operators are responsible for owning and maintaining hand tools used for maintenance

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED
• Must have current CDL and DOT Medical Card if performing maintenance or mechanical work
• Attend an annual 8 hour MSHA refresher course.
• New employees must complete 24 hours of new miner training.
• New employees with mining experience more than two years prior to hire, must complete 12 hours of experienced miner training
• Must provide own transportation to job sites.
• Must have Heavy Equipment Operation experience.
• Must have some mechanical ability for general maintenance purposes.
• Previous Dozer/Compactor experience is required.
